シグネチャー
the drinks we built the shop around.

kyoto latte
$6.25espresso · milk · condensed milk
our house iced latte. espresso over milk, with a slow pour of sweetened condensed milk that sinks to the bottom of the cup. it arrives in three shades — dark, cream, gold — and the first sip is barely sweet. give it a stir and the whole glass turns the colour of caramel. it's the drink most people order on their first visit, and the one they keep ordering.

espresso tonic
$5.75espresso · tonic water · yuzu syrup
espresso, tonic water and a little yuzu syrup, poured over ice so the shot floats on top of the fizz. it's bitter and bright at the same time — the tonic sharpens the coffee, the yuzu adds a soft citrus edge. no milk, no sugar to speak of. the one to order on a hot afternoon when you still want real coffee.
signature matcha
抹茶
ceremonial-grade matcha, whisked to order.

carrot cake matcha
$7.50matcha · oat milk · carrot cake syrup · cream cheese cold foam
the drink people come back and tell us about. hand-whisked matcha over oat milk and carrot cake syrup, finished with a thick cream cheese cold foam and a dusting of cinnamon. the foam does exactly what frosting does on the cake — it softens everything underneath it. sweet, but the matcha keeps it honest.

banana pudding matcha
$7.25matcha · oat milk · agave syrup · banana pudding cold foam
grassy matcha and oat milk, sweetened with agave, under a cloud of banana pudding cold foam and a few wafer crumbs. it reads like dessert and drinks like a matcha latte. the foam holds its shape all the way to the bottom of the cup, so every sip gets a little of both.

vanilla matcha float/16 oz/
$8.50matcha · oat milk · vanilla syrup · vanilla bean ice cream
a 16 oz matcha latte with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream floating on top. as the ice cream melts it turns the matcha into something between a latte and a milkshake — drink it early for the contrast, or wait and let it become one thing. comes in the
cup, with a spoon.
affogato bar
アフォガート
something hot, poured over something cold.

strawberry matcha affogato
$7.25matcha · gelato ice cream · strawberry puree
gelato, a spoon of strawberry purée, and freshly whisked matcha poured over the top at the counter. strawberry and matcha are the classic spring pairing in japan; the gelato is what keeps the peace between them. it comes out as three clean layers and disappears in about four minutes, so we'd eat it here.
coffee
コーヒー
the quiet classics, done properly.

espresso
$3.50served in a small cup with a glass of water on the side. thirty seconds of work and nowhere to hide — this is how you find out whether a shop can pull a shot. a thick crema, a clean finish, nothing added. drink it at the counter if you like; that's how it's meant to go.

macchiato
$3.75an espresso with a spoonful of steamed milk on top — the traditional one, not the tall caramel thing. small, strong and quick. the milk takes the edge off the shot without covering it up.

cortado
$4.00equal parts espresso and warm milk, in a small glass. it's the balanced one — enough milk to be soft, not so much that the coffee goes missing. the drink our baristas order for themselves, and the one you can have every day without thinking about it.

cappuccino
$4.50espresso, steamed milk, and a proper cap of microfoam that should feel like velvet rather than bubbles. served hot in a ceramic cup. ask for cinnamon or cocoa on top if that's your thing.

latte
$5.00espresso and silky steamed milk, poured with a bit of latte art on top. the one you order when you're planning to sit for a while. whole milk by default; oat or almond if you'd rather, and vanilla, caramel or lavender syrup if you want it sweeter.
matcha
お抹茶
whisked, never scooped from a powder tin.

matcha latte
$6.50matcha · oat milk
ceremonial-grade matcha whisked by hand with a bamboo chasen, then poured into oat milk. iced by default; hot if you ask, with a leaf poured on top. it's deep green, smooth, and only lightly sweet — the matcha itself does most of the talking. oat milk was made for this and we don't make the rules.

cold whisk matcha
$6.50whisk with cold oat milk
matcha whisked cold, straight into oat milk, over ice — the old way, no steam and no foam. it's the cleanest, greenest thing on the menu: grassy, a little savoury, wide awake. for people who like their matcha to taste like matcha.
non-coffee
ノンコーヒー
for the ones who came along.

japanese cream soda
$6.50club soda · blue curaçao syrup · gelato ice cream · cherry
club soda and electric-blue curaçao syrup, a scoop of gelato on top, and a cherry. this is the drink you'd find in a shōwa-era kissaten — the old tokyo coffee houses we borrowed the idea of
from. it looks like a cartoon and tastes like a very good ice cream soda. kids love it; so do most adults, quietly.
from the case
スイーツ
baked in small batches. what's in the case changes — ask what's fresh today.

blueberry cheesecake
a soft, light cheesecake with a swirl of blueberry through it and a buttery biscuit base. not too sweet, not too heavy — it goes with a cortado or a cold whisk matcha without either one getting in the way.

biscoff cheesecake
cheesecake on a spiced biscuit base with crumbled biscoff over the top. caramel and cinnamon notes, a little crunch. the slice to pair with a plain latte.

cookies
big, soft cookies baked in small batches — matcha with white chocolate, double chocolate, and whatever the kitchen felt like that morning. they sit by the register on purpose.
